Winners of the Senior Céilí Band Competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2024
The Beartla Ó Flatharta Céilí Band are from Leixlip, Co Kildare. The band is named in memory of the late Connemara native Beartla Ó Flatharta, a piper, button accordion player and a Sean-Nós singer. Two of his daughters, Róisín and Úna play in the band.

The band was formed in 2008 by friends who have been playing together since childhood. Over the last sixteen years, past and present members have contributed to the development of their unique Kildare style of Céilí Band playing. This year, after a six-year hiatus from the competition, the band were back and were elated to be crowned the winners at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2024.
